The
Equaris Corporation began in the mid 1980's developing Biomatter
Resequencing Converter (BMRC) Technology to solve onsite
water conservation and pollution prevention toilet problems
in National Guard armories throughout western Alaska. The
success of this project resulted in a National Award for "Energy
Innovations"
from the U.S. Department of Energy in 1988.
In
the 1990's Equaris applied its technologies to the development
of advanced wastewater treatment systems for Alaskan homeowners
and fishing lodges who were experiencing problems installing
septic systems in the fragile Alaskan environment. These
treatment solutions earned Equaris a U.S. Patent for its
Apparatus for Composting Organic Waste Materials and Method,
in 1993.
In
order to meet an ever-expanding market and reduce operational
costs, in 1995 the Equaris Corporation moved its headquarters
and manufacturing facilities to Minnesota. The corporation
experienced continued growth in 1999 through the development
of the Equaris Household Water Treatment and Wastewater Recycling
System and was awarded another U.S. Patent for its Waste
and Water Treatment and Recycling System, in 2001.
Today,
the Equaris Corporation continues as an industry leader in
the development and application of sustainable onsite Water
Recycling and Wastewater Treatment Systems. Our proven systems
are meeting the world's growing need for clean water and
a clean environment.
